The Kentucky Department of Revenue’s Division of Tax Increment Financing administers the laws that relate to state tax increment financing projects, including working with government agencies to gather and evaluate the necessary tax related data for proposed projects.

The division will serve as the portal for information relating to applications and analysis for state participation TIF projects, will work with agencies in administering the grant contract, and serve as the record keeping unit for all state tax increment financing projects.

Many components of Kentucky’s TIF laws are new, created by the passage of House Bill 549 in the 2007 General Assembly. This site contains pertinent and up-to-date information relating to KY TIF laws, including the statutes that apply to state participation. Also, you’ll find TIF applications and the Division of Tax Increment Financing contact information.
